Souks of Dubai – Spice Souk – Shopping Tour Dubai

The spice souk is the one souk that actually feels like a souk. The smell of spice is great as you walk through the tight alleyways and streets. Worth the walk through to see all the spices piled high, and to buy your discount saffron.

When – Again the stalls here will operate the split shift so avoid going in the middle of the day while on your Dubai Shopping tour

Location – The spice souk is located near the Deira gold souk near the creek side, i.e. where you would catch the abra to head back to Bur Dubai.

Wining Dining and Cruising – Tour in Dubai

Apart from Dhow Cruise in Dubai and Desert Safari, Dubai is a typical holiday destination where you can romance with life at its optimum.

Wining and dining

There are some fantastic eating experiences in the major hotels, many of them fairly expensive.  Friday brunch is a good choice with most hotels offering a fantastic choice of dishes from an extensive buffet…  The champagne brunch at the Fairmont is great if you don’t need to be fit for anything for the rest of the day!  We also enjoyed the less expensive brunch at the Sheraton Creek and Towers. Alternatively try Arabic specialities in the local suburban restaurants? The bill will be a third of that in the hotels.

Adventurous Things to do on your Dubai City Tour – Horse Racing

Meydan Race Track

Frequented by the world’s horseracing elite and considered one of the most beautiful tracks in the world, the Meydan prides itself on being a world-class breeding and training facility.

It is the home of the richest, most illustrious horse race – the Dubai World Cup held in late March.  It is one of the most sought after, and expensive, tickets in Dubai – it ranks right up there with The Ascot Races in England.

And as with the Ascot, when on your Dubai City Tour you have had your fill of the races, you can always “hat watch” as the ladies pull out all stops in the millinery department for the race.

Green and Clean Dubai with Dubai City tour

Dubai city tour lets you experience the green side of this Emirate as authentically as possible.

Mushrif Park

Mushrif Park is our past Mirdiff on the Khawaneej Road and is well worth a visit. The park has acres of woodland as it was originally a ghaf forsest and can be/ needs to be driven around really. There is a small zoo with goats and you can ride a camel or ponies there, train rides, a swimming pool you can pay to use as well as the It’s A Small World replica house area featuring mini houses from all around the world! Sounds mad? It’s great! We loved the “English House” and the Red Indian Teepee House! Entry is so cheap- it’s 5 Dhs per person or 30 Dhs per car. It’s a great place for family picnics as well as strolls under shady trees. There are also barbeque areas- so grab your baring gear, get the gang together and go spend an amazing day at Mushrif Park.

Souked in Dubai on your Dubai City Tour

Madinat Jumeirah

Madinat Jumeirah is a destination type resort that contains restaurants, a souk a few hotels. It’s great for the guests, but the Madinat Jumeirah Souk brings in a crowd of tourists to check out what’s on offer and chill out at the restaurants. Madinat is a destination in its own right. It may be a souk, but with everything on offer, this Arabic themed location is a popular with everyone – and thus the popularity of the hotels is an obvious observance on your Dubai City Tour.

Water parks of Dubai – City Tour Dubai

Wild Wadi Waterpark
Wild Wadi regulars mourned the loss of the epic Jumeirah Sceirah earlier in the year, which was torn down to make way for new attractions. Details of the latest ride, tentatively scheduled to open after summer, are scarce, but our park insiders tell us it’s one for extreme adrenaline junkies and is even ‘Sceirah-er’ than the original, which gave riders a terrifying thrill as they descended at 80 km/h down the super-steep 33 metre descent.
Joining attractions like the chilled out Lazy River, which stretches 360 metres, and the Tunnel of Doom, a pitch black slide with plenty of sudden twists and turns, are two relatively new rides that were unveiled last year. The Burj Surj consists of two large sections of downhill waterslides and two looming ‘bowls’, while Tantrum Alley incorporates downhill slides and tornadoes. Book a Wild Wadi ticket on your Dubai City Tour for sure.

Heritage of Dubai – Al Fahidi Fort

Dubai Museum is housed in Al Fahidi fort, it was constructed around 1787 and was once used to guard any approaches made by land towards U.A.E. The museum depicts the colorful, vibrant and traditional sides of U.A.E. Take a glimpse how different discoveries happened in Dubai like discovery of oil. Explore the lifestyles of Bedouins, marine life and desert life. Don’t forget to click some nice photographs of the artifacts from 3rd millennium.

Or you can book a casual Dubai city tour with one of the renowned tour operators of the Emirate.
